1.perennial n. 多年生植物
如：A perennial woody plant having a main trunk and usually a distinct crown.
树一种多年生木质植物，生有一个主干且常有一个很明显的树冠
2.evergreen n. 常绿树，常绿植物
如：The juniper is a type of evergreen bush with purple berries.
杜松子是一种生有紫红色浆果的常绿灌木。
Heather is an evergreen plant.
石南花是种常绿植物。
3.shrub n. 灌木
如：Resembling a shrub, especially in having woody stems and branches.
灌木状的类似灌木的，尤指有木质树干或树枝
The naughty boy hid the books in the shrub.
这个淘气的孩子把书藏在了灌木丛里。
4.vertically adv. 垂直地
如：Any of the rows of squares that run vertically or between players on a playing board in chess or checkers.
