the all-clear (noun) - if you have got the all-clear (e.g. from someone in authority), it means that you have obtained permission to continue with a plan 获得继续计划的许可

savoury (adjective) - savoury food has a salty flavour. You can also refer to the small portons of savoury food that are eaten as a snack as savouries (plural noun). 咸的,辣的
in one stroke (expression) - if you do something in one stroke, you can finish something by one single action 一发即中
undergrowth (noun) - the low bushes or small trees that grow under the trees of a forest. If something is stirring in the undergrowth, in the figurative sense, it means that something is happening but the development of the situation is not yet fully known 灌木丛
high-spirited (adjective) - very energetic 兴致勃勃的
edgy (adjective) - being bold and provocative 不安的,易激怒的
talk down to sb (phrasal verb) - to talk to someone in a way as if they are not important or not intelligent 用高人一等的口气对某人说话
