Last time we learned a sentence pattern which is : It seems unfair that S should do. 此句表达的意思是：某人的这种情况似乎不公平。此外，句子还含有一种感情色彩，表达出作者觉得此事“不可思议”的这种感情。

1 短语详析
be unfair on somebody 对于某人不公平 It is unfair on him to make him pay for everything. 要他承担一切费用这不公平。devalue someone's work 贬低某人的工作 like that 这样。
2 翻译方式：第一句是用主语从句进行翻译，第二句使用动词不定式进行翻译。
【喇叭】
1 翻译1和2中都有介词短语作状语，它们是：to her 和 on her, 意思都是“对于她来说”。前几期我们说过了“对于某人来说”在主语从句中用to somebody，在动词不定式前用 for somebody,但是注意unfair这个词例外，“对于某人来说不公平”这个短语是be unfair on somebody.
2 英语中说“这样”“那样”恰好与我们中文中说的相反，中文说“这样”，英文是：like that, 中文说“那样”，英文是：like this.
【Exercise II】他工作如此很辛苦,报酬竟然这等的少,太不公平了。
【Translation 1】It is extremely unfair that he should get very little in reward for his hard work.
【Translation 2】It is extremely unfair on him to get very little in reward for his hard work.

1 短语详析：get very little 得到很少，得到一点儿 in reward 作为报酬 reward for ......的报酬 （这个名词短语后面的介词固定是for，不要用of.）for 在这里表示原因，reward for更为详细的翻译是因为什么而得的报酬。通常in reward 和reward for；连在一起用，即：be in reward for. {例句}He received a medal in reward for his bravery. 他因表现勇敢而获得了一枚奖章. I send him a book in reward for his help . 我送给他一本书来答谢他的帮助。
2 翻译方式：同第一道习题。
【Exercise III】 在今天强求教师如此照办看来好像不公道呀。
【Translation 1】It appears unfair that teachers should be asked of this today.
【Translation 2】It appears unfair on teachers to be asked this of today.

1 短语详析：ask something of somebody ( = demand something) 要求。{例句}You are asking too much of him. 你对他要求过分了。I know I am asking a great deal. 我知道我的要求很高。I know I'm asking a lot to expect them to win again（= of expecting them to win again）. 我知道我期望他们再次获胜要求太高了。
2 翻译方式同第一题。

1 短语详析：sentence somebody to something 判决，宣判这个动词短语中的to是介词，如果说宣判做某事，则动词要用动名词形式，即：sentence somebody to doing something. {例句}He was sentenced to death. 他被判处死刑。He was sentenced to staying three years in prison. 他被判处有期徒刑三年。 In poverty 贫困地 {例句}He languished in poverty for years他多年挣扎在贫困之中.She was cradled in poverty.她幼年生长于穷困的环境Spend one's lifetime 度过终生。
