Gizmodo reports Italy's privacy watchdog announced Friday that it will fine Facebook 1 million euros, which is about $1.13 million, for the mishandling of data associated with now-defunct Cambridge Analytica.
According to a press release, the Thisisyourdigitallife quiz that allowed Cambridge Analytica to receive users' personal information was downloaded by 57 Italians, which led to the improper handling of data belonging to over 214,000 people in the country.
