TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew defended the popular social media app over security concerns, allegations that Chinese government has access to the personal data of U.S. users.

The CEO made a series of commitments aimed at easing lawmakers concerns.

The testimony comes as the Biden administration is considering banning TikTok if the privately held Beijing-based parent company ByteDance doesn't sell the U.S. version of the app.
