This is Oreo, the black and white pig.

These three little pigs live here in a pen next to the school playground and are cared for by the children.

So usually when we shake the food, they'll come over.

They even join in for the fun and games at playtime.

We let them come out and they just run around. But we have to close the door so they don't come inside.

If you're sad at lunch time, you could play with the pigs.

These aren't the only animals that kids here get to hang out with either.

We have rabbits. We've got a therapy dog. We have a rat that comes in on a Friday.

And this was our next step. We wanted to choose an animal that was not overly common to the children, and they proved to be a huge success.

Teachers here say that the animals give the children something extra to come to school for, which particularly helps those who have struggled since the pandemic.

You get to bond with the pigs and you get the... they're so much fun.

And after playing with the pigs, the kids feel more settled and comfortable to head back into the classroom.

Evie enjoys helping out and has also been helping the mini pigs learn some basic skills.
