Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu is awarded the Olympic bronze medal after USA athlete Jordan Chiles was stripped of the honor.

The 18-year-old is given the medal during a reallocation ceremony in Bucharest, Romania, August 16, per the athletic Barbosu spoke after the ceremony.

According to the outlet, Ana said, "I want to believe that the day will come when all three of us will receive a bronze medal."

The three Ana is referring to include herself, Jordan Chiles and Barbosu Romanian teammate Sabrina Maneca-Voinea.

The medal handoff comes days after US Gymnastics revealed that the Court of Arbitration for Sport, or CAS, declined to reward the US athlete her bronze medal for her individual floor routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After the ruling, Jordan took to X, formerly Twitter, to release a statement about the situation, saying,

"While celebrating my Olympic accomplishments, I heard the devastating news that my bronze medal had been stripped away.
