Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf says that "failing" leadership is responsible for the current problems being experienced by the country.
In an interview with GEO TV, Musharraf praised the intelligence of the Pakistani people, saying they were not to blame for the turbulence gripping the nation.
"The society in Pakistan and internationally, is passing through a crisis of 'terrorism' and we are in the centre of focus...Leadership has been failing in Pakistan, that's why there's turbulence after every certain period,"
On the same day, missiles flattened a militant safe house in Pakistan's tribal area, killing 20 people.
