The Olympic torch has arrived in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires.
Julio Cassanello, president of the country's Olympic Committee, says the event is an exciting moment for both the Olympic Games and Argentina.
''We regard the torch relay as an important and historical task. It is also a great honor for us. Through the process, people will learn that Argentina has a deep history with the Olympics.''
Cassanello says the Buenos Aires relay route will pass modern and historic landmarks. The torch will be delivered by various means, including road, water and horse transport.
