A Boeing 737 commercial jet with 143 people on board slid into the St. John's River near Jacksonville, Florida on Friday. No deaths were reported but 21 people were injured. The plane arriving from Cuba was attempting to land during a heavy thunderstorm. However it went into the river at the end of the runway at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Reports say that the plane was resting in shallow water and fully intact after the accident. The mayor of Jacksonville said on Twitter that US President Donald Trump had called him to offer help.
