Yangko Dance is a traditional folk dance in China, and it's especially popular in Northeast China Yangko dancers usually wear bright and colorful costumes with movements being swift and vigorous. In the countryside, big Yangko teams used to be organized for wedding ceremonies, birthday parties and so on. During the Spring Festival, people went from house to house to perform Yangko. celebrating the coming of the New Year and canying on the age-old tradition. Today in Northeast China, many elderly people take part in the Yangko Dance to keep fit.
