The Jiuzhaigoa Scenic Area is one of the best tourist attractions in the world. Situated in Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, the area is about 450 kilometers away from Chengdu City. It got the name because of the nine villages spreading in the area. Forests are found everywhere in the area which owns 108 colorful lakes. The area, with an elevation over 2,000 meters, enjoys a favorable climate which is cool in summer but free from cold wind in winter. With its unique scenery, it attracts tens of thousands of visitors from home and abroad every day. In 1992, the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area was listed into the World Natural Heritages.
