Callesen was born in 1967 in Denmark. He was schooled in Denmark and London in the fields of art and architecture. Although his name may not be well-known on this side of the globe, his works, thanks to the Internet, certainly are. I have seen his works many times over the years, but still, I have always been quite taken by the stories they tell and the sheer beauty of his designs. Although some of his pieces are highly complex while others appear rather simple in design, all are impressive and rich in meaning.
