“These playful works exist in the lost land of childhood, between dreams and reality,” Callesen said. “It is in the confrontation of these two worlds that these works of art become alive.”

Callesen’s large-scale works are truly impressive, but I kind of prefer his delicate works on A4 paper. As the artist put it, “It is probably the most common and most widely used medium used for carrying information today. This is why we rarely notice the actual value of the A4 paper, which, I feel, we are all able to relate to in one way or another.”
