Women's situation in China is getting better and better. Women nowadays have more freedom and rights than they had in the past. Women are free to choose their marriage. After getting married,they continue to work outside home and have their own careers. They're independents, not only spiritually but also financially. Considering jobs,in most cases,women have the same right to choose their jobs； they don't just stay at home to take care of their children and husbands ; they can do whatever men can. Some jobs must be done by women only, and some jobs can be done even better by women. So in a way,women can't be replaced because they make half the sky.

High-level science and technology have brought great changes to Chinese people's work and life as well. Computers are widely used in our daily work. In the past, we used paper and pens to write, but now people use computers in stead. Furthermore, through a video camera attached to the computer, we can see person far away while talking to him or her on the phone, which was impossible in the past. With GPRS, we can find whatever vehicles we are looking for,which is very helpful in case of emergency. Moreover,thanks to the application of high technology in medicine,people live much longer than before,and some diseases which were incurable are under control now. So it is quite obvious that people benefit a lot from the improvement brought about by high technology.
