以眼还眼，以牙还牙。也可以译成针锋相对，一报还一报。
比如：I didn't invite her to my party because she didn't invite me to hers. It was just tit for tat.

朗文词典中的解释是informal to finish something you have started 。直译的话应该是说会坚持到最后，会把事情做完。这里Joey的意思应该是如果遇到了the right one，就会和她白头偕老。
