可可网友们大家好。记得有一首歌名叫《假如生活欺骗了我》，具体歌词不记得，不过生活中谁都不免遇到各种形式的欺骗，恶意的，善意的，造成了伤害的，被理解的，等等。今天，就和Rose 先了解其中的几样吧。

go through the motions 走过场；装样子

I don’t want to do this, but I think I’d better go through the motions. 我不想做这件事，但我想我还是装出做的样子为好。

I go to work each day just to go through the motions and collect a paycheck. 我每天上班只是例行公事，就是为了工资。

Cook the book 做假账

这个事儿性质就严重多了。

有时候，对某些事儿某些人可能只是口头上应承一下，心里并不承认，也不会付诸实际行动，这样的做法某称程度上属于欺骗。

They pay lip service to education, but don’t work for better schools 他们声称支持教育，却不为改善学校做实际工作。

用羊毛挡住了某人的眼睛，让你看不到真相。

He said you always try to pull the wool over his eyes. He thinks you are dishonest. 他说你总是试图欺骗他。他觉得你不够诚实。

They tried to pull the wool over our eyes with this report, but we know the results are based on wrong information. 他们想用这份报告欺骗我们，但我们知道报告所依据的资料都是错的。
