Karen: Hello, Jennifer. I can't wait to tell you that I've received the offer of Kyoto University.
凯伦：你好，詹妮弗。我等不及要告诉你，我被京都大学录取了。
Jennifer: Congratulations! So you are really going to Japan.
詹妮弗：恭喜恭喜！这么说你真要去日本啦。
Karen: I burst into tears when I knew I was admitted. All the efforts I've put in...I was so afraid that I would receive a rejection. Now it's all paid off.
凯伦：当我知道自己被录取的时候我都哭了。我花费了那么多精力……我特别害怕被拒收。现在终于大功告成啦。
Jennifer: What's your field of study?
詹妮弗：你要学哪个领域？
Karen: Computer engineering. Although there is a plethora of things I like about Japan, the language, music and of course animation, the greatest appeal of Japan for me is its state-of-the-art technology. But I need to go to a preparatory school first to learn Japanese.
凯伦：计算机工程。虽然说日本有很多东西我都喜欢，比如语言、音乐，当然还有动漫，但是对我来说日本最大的吸引力还是它先进的科技。但是我要先上预科学习日语。
Jennifer: I think that won't be difficult once you've fully immersed yourself in a Japanese environment.
詹妮弗：我觉得一旦你把自己融入日语的环境中，学起来就不难了。
Karen: I think so, too. I still have miscellaneous things to make ready before I depart, but now let's celebrate with a few drinks.
凯伦：我也这么认为。虽然在我走之前还有各种东西要准备，但现在让我们先来喝几杯庆祝一下。
Jennifer: Why not?
詹妮弗：好啊。
