When you listen to American English, you will probably hear this idiom: "SLEEP LIKE A ROCK"
当大家在听美式英语的时候，很可能会听到下面这个谚语：“睡得像岩石一样”
How dose a rock sleep? Let's listen:
岩石怎么会睡觉呢？请听下面这段对话：
I remember you said you were getting a new bed last weekend. How do you like it?
我记得你说你上周末买了一个新床。喜欢吗？
I love it! My old bed totally bit the dust, but the new mattress is great.
我太喜欢了！我那张旧床彻底坏了，但新买的床好极了。
I slept like a rock last night.
我昨晚睡得像头死猪一样。
That's good to know. I have not been sleeping well at all lately.
很高兴听你这么说啊。我最近睡得不怎么好。
Maybe I should think about getting a different mattress, too.
或许我应该考虑也换一个新的了。
If you slept like a rock, you slept very well.
如果你睡得像一个“rock”，就是说你睡得很好。
You can't wake a rock, because it's not alive.
就像我们是喊不醒岩石的，因为岩石是没有生命的
You can also say you slept like a logto mean the same thing.
或者你也可以说自己睡得像个木头一样，来表达同样的意思。
