以下这些说法都常用来回忆自己的孩童时代：

When I was little/young: 我小时候。不过young这个词具体指几岁是相对的，看你现在年纪多大

During my childhood: 相对比较正式

When I was a kid: 我还是孩子的时候

Carefree, no pressure, no homework: 无忧无虑、没有压力、没有作业

Parents pretty much let you do whatever you want to…: 父母基本上让你做大多数你想做的事情

Is it true? 是真的吗？

Grew up in the middle of nowhere: Adam说自己的童年基本上符合Jenny的印象。但其中一个原因是他在乡村长大

It'll be different if you grow up in the big city: 如果你成长在大城市，那应该会不一样

Adam觉得他童年和现在很多北美孩子的童年最大的区别是：

Structured: 有条条框框(现在的孩子)

Unstructured: 没有那么多条条框框(以前的孩子)

有点像我们之前节目教过的词free-range: 散养

Adam had homework, but he never did it: Adam说作业是有的，只是他没做

Good test taker: 因为他是考试型选手，老师对他作业就没什么要求

Did your parents put academic pressure on you? 你父母对你有学业上的压力吗？

Supervise or look after: 父母管孩子可以用这两个词表达，总之不要说manage

Jenny's childhood is almost the opposite of Adam's: Jenny说她的童年几乎和Adam是反过来的

Friends: 朋友

Friendships: 友情

What did you do with your friends? 你和朋友都干什么？

What games did you play? 你们玩什么？

Connect elastic bands /rubber bands together and jump around it: 跳橡皮筋

Do tricks: 跳出很多花样

Girls get street cred if they are good at it: 女生橡皮筋跳得好是很风光的

Feel inferior, ashamed of myself: 因为橡皮筋跳不好而自卑
