TEXT:A thousand miles and counting. This stray dog has become theinspirationfor a group of Chinese cyclists. Nicknamed "Xiaosa", the dog followed the long-distance cyclists after one of them gave it food. "At first we didn't consider keeping it and thought it just wanted to follow us for a while. But it showed very strong willpower and followed us all the way here. There is a steep downhill slope in Litang, so we made a cage for it." Xiaosa ran with the team for 24 days, covering over 1,100 miles from central Hubei Province to Tibet. The little white dog has shown incredible determination, running up to 37 miles in one day."Xiaosa's perseverance moved us a lot. With its encouragement, we finally reached the Potala Palace. Now we are very excited and very moved. I am going to do whatever I need to bring it back with me as it has taken me for its master." Since dogs are not allowed on trains in China, Xiao Yong plans to pay for his new friend's trip back to Wuhan by air, while he travels by train separately. Sophia Soo, Reuters.

2【UN condemns Syria over massacre】联合国谴责叙利亚大屠杀
TEXT:The U.N. Security Council on Sundayunanimouslycondemned the Syrian government for heavy-weapons attacks on the town of Houla, the site of a massacre of at least 108 people, including many children. Azerbaijan's Deputy U.N. Ambassador Tofig Musayev: "The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest possible terms the killings, confirmed by United Nations observers, of dozens of men, women and children and the wounding of hundreds more in the village of (Houla), near Homs, in attacks that involved a series of government artillery and tank shellings on a residential neighborhood." Syrian Ambassador to the UN Bashar Jaafari says his government would track down the perpetrators. "Whomever commited these crimes will be held accountable." He also said that the UN was not blaming the Syrian government. "If you go to the language in which the press statement was written, you will find that nothing in that indicates that the Council is blaming the Syrian government forces for the killings and the preparations of the massacres." Anunsanctionedgay rally against discrimination prompts anger from the Orthodox opponents whocall onpolice to arrest gay activists.Orthodox activist and anti-gay protester Dmitry saying: "I am for human rights, I am for the main human right, the right to live, and I will not allow the perverts to draw God's wrath on our city. I want my children to live in a country where nobody at their school preaches the sin which terriblydistortsthe human nature." Gay activists are protesting against recent legislation which bans spreading so-called gay propaganda among minors. The Russian gay and lesbian community says the law is nothing but an attempt to restrict their freedom of expression. LGBT activist Galina Kaptur saying: "(I'm here) to support sex minorities, because they are deprived of their rights anyway, they are banned to do anything, they are beingsackedfrom their jobs, nobody wants to employ them, the society is furious like a beast." The law has been criticised for lack of clarity which allows too much room for misinterpretation by police. Several cities across Russia have already passed the law. 4【A day at the zoo for Kim Jung Un 】金正恩公园一日游
BRIEF:North Korea's state-run KRT television on Sunday showed footage of the country's leader Kim Jong-un touring a zoo in the capital Pyongyang. KRT said Kim's visit to the zoo took place on Saturday. Kim was shown watching different animals in the zoo and speaking to zoo officials. KRT said he received reports about the management and operation of the zoo. There seemed to be no other visitors in the zoo at the time of Kim's visit. On Saturday, KRT broadcasted video of Kim touring construction sites. These public visits are seen as part of efforts to cement the young leader's grip on power and boost his popularity with the public.
