TEXT:Myanmar's pro democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi continued her world tour with a stop at Oxford, her alma mater. She was greeted by supporters who gave her flowers and sang happy birthday to her. Suu Kyi was a student there in the late 1970's before returning to Myanmar to take up the pro-democracy struggle. Her husband and two sons remained in England while she was under house arrest for the next 15 years. During an interview with ITN, Suu Kyi said that while she doesn't regret her decisions, she does miss the time she was away from her children. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MYANMAR PRO-DEMOCRACY LEADER, AUNG SAN SUU KYI, SAYING: "It was a choice I made. It was a sacrifice for my husband and sons, especially for my sons, because my husband after all was an adult, but the children were young. It must have mattered to them not to have both parents near them. I don't feel good about it, but on the other hand, I think that in the end, one decides what one's priorities are, and one lives with one's decisions." Later Wednesday, Suu Kyi will receive an honorary doctorate from the university. Julie Noce, Reuters

2【Egyptian ex-president Mubarak on life support】
埃及前总统靠穆巴拉克靠氧气维持生命
TEXT:Military sources say Hosni Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for three decades until overthrown by last year, is on life support in a hospital. They denied a report that he was clinically dead. Earlier the state news agency, amid high tension over the election of a new president, quoted medical sources as saying the former head of state, aged 84, was "clinically dead". A hospital source used the same description in an interview with Reuters. But three sources in the military and security services, which retain control of Egypt following the revolt, said Mubarak was being kept alive and said they would not use the expression "clinically dead" to describe his condition. General Said Abbas, a member of the ruling military council, told Reuters, that Mubarak had suffered a stroke but added: "Any talk of him being clinically dead is nonsense." Another military source said: "He is completely unconscious. He is using artificial respiration." Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters

4【Iran and world powers fail to solve differences】伊朗未能与世界大国达成共识
TEXT:Iran and world powers fail to resolve differences over Tehran's nuclear program. European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton (SOUNDBITE) (English) EUROPEAN UNION FOREIGN POLICY CHIEF CATHERINE ASHTON, SAYING: "It remains clear that there are significant gaps between the substance of the two positions. We've therefore agreed as follows: an early follow-on technical level meeting in Istanbul on July 3rd." She said there was some progress. (SOUNDBITE) (English) EUROPEAN UNION FOREIGN POLICY CHIEF CATHERINE ASHTON, SAYING: "The fact is that they did begin to address the substance for the first time. But there is a very very long way to go." The six powers representing the United States, China, Russia, France, Britain and Germany want Tehran to stop enriching uranium to levels that bring it closer to acquiring weapons-grade material. If talks fail, financial markets could be hit by fears of conflict in the Middle East, and of higher oil prices, because Israel has threatened to attack Iranian nuclear sites if diplomacy fails to stop Iran developing a bomb. Tehran denies any such aim, and says its nuclear program is purely for non-military purposes. Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters
