实例说明:
Hang in there.
撑下去。
hang in就是抓住不要让自己掉下去的意思。这个短语用在实际的生活中,就是鼓励别人要坚持下去、不要放弃。
例:Hang in there. I'll call the ambulance.
撑下去,我去叫救护车。
Cheer up. You've done a good job.
高兴点,你做得很好啊。
cheer up也是常用来鼓励别人的话,就是要别人高兴一点、不要难过(Don't be sad.)而You've done a good job.这句话则几乎已经成为一种固定用法,每当别人完成一件任务时,都可以用这句话,或是简单地说Good job,或者Well done。

你很支持我。
support somebody在英文中常有在金钱上支持某人作某件事的意思。例如My parents support me to go to the college.(我父母供我上大学)。因此老美常用supportive来表示一个人对另一个的支持。例如一些访谈节目中常可以听到这样的话:My husband is very supportive.(我丈夫对我十分支持)。或是要感谢别人对你的支持时,你也可以说You are very supportive。
