Thailand thrash China 5-1

After two straight defeats in their international friendlies, China lost yet again yesterday, and this time the score was pretty humiliating, losing 5-1. To make things even worse their opponents - Thailand - were formed largely by youth players.
Having lost to Uzbekistan and the Netherlands in their last two outings, coach Jose Antonio Camacho and his side were in desperate need of a victory.
Meanwhile, the Thai side were taking the match pretty easy bringing in 7 younger players from their Olympic and under-21 teams to Hefei.
Surprisingly, China lost control to their young rivals early on. In the 16th minute, China’s defence opening to give the Thais vast space to manouver, and Pokkhao Anan’s long shot beat Gung Shaw-fung in goal. 1-nil, Thailand took the lead! And this was only the beginning of what turned out to be a nightmare for the Chinese keeper
7 minutes later, the Southeast Asians were back again. This time, the Chinese defence faring even worse, with only three defenders came back to the area. Kraisorn Adisak got the opportunity to face the keeper one-on-one and he beat Gung with ease. 2-nil, China were down by two after just 23 minutes.
The hosts saved some face in the 32nd minute when Yu Dabaw was dragged down in the area. Wung Yung-por scoring the hosts first and only goal.
Hopes of a comeback were dashed in the 51st minute. Adisak teasing the much taller Chinese defence with his ball control skills and he grabbed his second goal of the match. 3-1, Thailand.
To the dismay of the fans, the Chinese side collapsed after the hour mark. A poor pass from Jaw Shoor set up the Thais and Chan-athip Song-krasin blasted home from outside the area. 4-1, Thailand.
In the 87th minute, the visitors struck again with a counterattack. Though the first shot was saved on the goal line by Sun Ker, he was helpless with the second attempt. 5-1 was the final score, and China closed their 3-match friendly series with another defeat. Camacho left the stadium alone, booed by the fans. After the match, hundreds of angry supporters blocked the changing room exits of the Chinese side for hours, shouting slogans including "fire Camacho" and and "disband the national team".
