Princess Diana again becomes a media focus
There's been huge media interest in the British royals recently after the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the arrival of their new born son Prince George. However, some media are looking retrospectively, and Princess Diana's personal life has become a topic of interest in the media once again with a film starring Naomi Watts as the late Princess of Wales coming out in September, which explores the final two years of her life and her supposed relationship with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan. Also exploring her alleged two-year relationship with Khan is Vanity Fair who have put Princess Diana on the front cover of their September issue. They have written their lead article based on information gathered from members of the doctor's family. Despite having died in a car crash in 1997, it would appear that Diana's power to make headlines still hasn't dissipated over 15 years later.

(English) KIDNAPPING VICTIM MICHELLE KNIGHT SAYING: "I spent 11 years of hell. Now, your hell is just beginning. I will overcome all this that happened. But you will face hell for eternity." Cuyahoga County Judge Michael Russo sentences Castro to life in prison plus 1,000 years with no parole for abducting, raping and holding captive three women, and murder for forcing one of the women to abort her pregnancy. In a final statement, the former school bus driver told the court he is a sick man suffering from sexual addiction.
(English) CONVICTED KIDNAPPER ARIEL CASTRO SAYING: "I'm not a monster. I did not prey on these women. I just acted on my sexual instincts because of my sexual addiction. As God is my witness, I never beat these women like they are trying to say that I did. I never tortured them."
Prosecutors presented graphic evidence at the hearing, including a replica of the home where they say Castro imprisoned the women and photos showing chains, boarded up windows and locks.

Thirty-two-year-old Knight, 27-year-old Amanda Berry, and 23-year-old Gina DeJesus all went missing in Cleveland between 2002 and 2004. They were discovered in May after neighbors heard Berry's cries for help from Castro's home. Castro pleaded guilty last week to hundreds of criminal charges to avoid the possibility of the death penalty. The sentence ensures he will never come out of prison.
