IAEA: food from Fukushima is "safe" to eat

The head of an International Atomic Energy Agency mission to Japan says produce from Fukushima is safe to eat.
"Whatever you come by in the market is safe." said Juan Carlos Lentijo, Team Leader, Nuclear Fuel Cycle & Waste Technology, IAEA.
The 16-member IAEA mission has been in Japan for a week to assess cleanup efforts in areas around the crippled Fukushima atomic power plant. Their work included taking samples of fish in Fukushima. The IAEA mission leader said monitoring programs and natural processes result in safe produce from Fukushima. The team noted progress in the cleanup work but mentioned several areas for improvement. One example highlighted was the further participation of Japan’s own Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
