China created more than 10 million positions in the first nine months of this year, beating the annual target set by the central government. Data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security shows the country’s official jobless rate, fell to 4.04 percent in Q3 from 4.1 percent in the previous quarter.
China’s service sector outpaced other areas to become the hub for new jobs. To boost future employment, officials plan to lay out supportive measures for self-employment and job search training.
