(SOUNDBITE) (English) TORONTO MAYOR ROB FORD, SAYING: "There is no need for me to take a leave of absence. I'm returning my calls. I'm going to committees. I'm watching every single dime that's being spent here. I've done it for 13 years. I'm going to continue doing for five more years-- one this time and four more after October 27."

During the meeting, Ford insisted on having a zero tolerance for drugs and gangs, but admitted to buying illegal drugs in the last two years. The incidents began earlier this year when it was reported Ford was seen on video smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine. He finally admitted last week having smoked the drug in a quote "drunken stupor," appearing to be the latest straw for some of his colleagues.
