1. prefer to...than：喜欢......而不喜欢......
e.g. I prefer to snack when I'm traveling rather than have a full meal.
我旅行时喜欢吃小吃而不吃正餐。
e.g. Educated persons prefer to live around educated rather than uneducated neighbors.
受过教育的人乐于和受过教育的人而不乐于和未受教育的人比邻而居。
2. from dawn till dusk：从早到晚
e.g. The demonstration lasted from dawn till dusk.
示威游行由黎明一直持续到天黑。
e.g. From dawn till dusk I sit here before my door, and I know that of a sudden the happy moment will arrive when I shall see.
从早到晚我在门前坐地，我知道我一看见你，那快乐的时光便要突然来到。
3. curious about：对......感到好奇
e.g. It is good to be curious about the world around you.
对你周围的世界感到新奇是件好事。
e.g. Additionally, at this stage, children are curious about other people's bodies.

4. hanker for：渴望，热切希望
e.g. Young people hanker for knowledge
年轻人渴望获得知识。
e.g. She is just hankers for praises.
她追求的只是赞美之言。
