A magnitude-7.3 earthquake has struck Hotan Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of Northwest China.
The China Earthquake Networks Center says it struck at 5:19 p-m Beijing Time. The epicenter, with a depth of 12 kilometers, was located at Yutian County in southwest Xinjiang.
