马来西亚公布失联客机最新进展
Malaysian authorities have delivered their latest media briefing in Kuala Lumpur with updates on the search for the missing flight. Malaysia’s acting transport minister announced that the search area had once again been enlarged. 26 countries are currently involved in the newly expanded search operation. Investigators earlier determined that the plane’s last satellite communication was in one of two corridors. The northern corridor stretches from the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to Northern Thailand. While the southern corridor goes from Indonesia to the southern Indian Ocean.
China and Kazakhstan have taken the lead in analyzing radar data and been searching the northern corridor. Australia and Indonesia are heading up efforts in the southern corridor.
Meanwhile, investigators have also started looking into whether any of the the crew members or passengers could be involved in the plane’s disappearance.
