Kim Jong-un re-electecd chairman of Nat'l Defense Commission
金正恩再次当选朝鲜一号人物
The DPRK's state news agency KCNA says, the country’s leader Kim Jong-un has been re-elected as the First Chairman of the country’s National Defense Commission, in the first session of the Supreme People’s Assembly held in Pyongyang this morning.
687 deputies, including Kim Jong-un, were elected during the 13th Supreme People’s Assembly. The deputies are expected to elect new commission members in the first session, and to approve the government budget for 2014. The Supreme People’s Assembly is the main organ of power in the DPRK. KCNA also says a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held on Tuesday.
Kim Jong-un presided over the meeting and various tasks were set to be completed. The meeting also discussed a proposal on forming the state leadership body to be submitted to the parliamentary session.
