To Brazil, where problems continue to plague the preparations for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, as authorities and biologists argue about the cause of dead fish floating along the river where the Rowing and Canoeing events are to take place at next year's Games.
Thirty-seven tons of dead fish have been removed from the waters by Rio's waste management company since late last week.
Rio's environmental secretary insisted the latest incident is the result of a sudden change in water temperature. But several scientists have rejected that explanation, saying that a lack of oxygen caused by pollution is really to blame.
Rio's water quality has become one of the most contentious issues heading into the 2016 Olympics.
Authorities have long said that the games would be the catalyst for a major cleanup of the city's waterways, but as the showcase sporting event approaches with few improvements. Authorities are now admitting that the Olympic promises won't be met.
Next year's Summer Olympics will get underway on August 5th.
