Lenovo posts $829 mln full-year net profit

Chinese PC giant Lenovo issued earnings for the year ended March 31. Net income came in at 829 million US dollars--almost flat year on year.
PCs may be a lot less cool than they were ten years ago, but for Chinese tech titan Lenovo, they're a major money spinner. The company posting another strong year of earnings thanks to healthy sales of its core PC division at home and around the world. Lenovo has about 20 percent of the global market and when it comes to new trends, tech analysts IDC say it's right on the mark.
The PC world is also prepping for Microsoft's new Windows 10 which could breathe some new life into the market. That could give Lenovo's competitors a leg up too - Hewlett-Packard nipping at its heels with strong sales and new products. But the Chinese giant has its sights set on more than just computers.
Lenovo has made some bold buys, including Motorola.It's now looking to conquer the mobile market - eyeing up its own smartwatch range that could take on the real heavy hitters like Apple.
