Global oil prices edge up on strong demand

Oil prices edged up on Thursday as strong global fuel demand and a sliding dollar overshadowed a large crude glut that had helped pull down the market 3 percent in the previous session.
Front-month Brent futures were up 15 cents from their last settlement to 63.95 dollars a barrel in trading Thursday.
U.S. crude futures added one cent to 59.65 dollars a barrel. Oil prices plummeted Wednesday as there were no signs that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries would cut its output quota at its Friday meeting.
A newly released OPEC monthly report shows that the cartel's output increased in April to average 30.84 million barrels per day.
