Hoods are huge this fall and winter, and while some of the hood trends on the runway were positively horrendous, the hooded cape isn't a bad option for tall women's outerwear. For one, it helps keep you warm and you don't have to worry about sleeve length or shoulder width at all - it simply drapes over your shoulders for a super-simple fit. Also, hooded capes are so easy to remove that you can wear them when it's appropriate and remove them when it's not a much better option than hooded blouses or dresses.
