A father and son suffered internal organ injuries and were hospitalized last Monday after drinking hot chocolate at a McDonald's restaurant in Southwest China's Chongqing, where an employee mistakenly added disinfectant instead of hot water to the drink.
上周一，在中国西南部的重庆市某家麦当劳店内，一名店员错将消毒液当成热水倒入饮料当中，而一对在店里就餐的父子因摄入该巧克力饮料导致脏器受损，目前正在住院接受治疗。
Feng Lili, 46, took his four-year-old son to a drive-through McDonald's near the Yuan Yang subway station in the Yubei District at noon. They ordered a kid's meal, which included a hot chocolate.
当日中午时分，46岁的冯先生带着四岁的儿子来到渝北区靠近鸳鸯站旁的一家麦当劳餐厅吃午饭。两人点了一份儿童套餐，其中包含一份巧克力热饮。
The son took a sip first and refused to drink it anymore. Feng thought maybe the drink was too hot and asked the son to wait until it cooled down. After the son finished the meal, Feng found the drink almost untouched and decided to drink it himself, according to Chongqing Evening News.
据《重庆晚报》报道，冯先生的儿子就喝了一小口饮料，之后再也不愿意喝了。冯先生起初认为饮料太烫，并告知儿子等冷却之后再喝。结果等儿子吃完所有东西之后，冯先生发现这杯饮料基本没怎么动，为避免浪费，于是冯先生便决定自己喝这杯饮料。
"I had a gulp of the drink and it tasted a little bit sour," Feng was quoted as saying. "I thought it might be Sprite in it. But when I took a second sip, I found something was wrong." After about 10 seconds, Feng felt burns on his tongue and throat. He returned to the restaurant and took what was left of the drink to the counter and told employees about his sickness.
冯先生回忆道：“当时我喝了一大口，觉得味道有点酸，以为里面掺了雪碧。但是当我喝第二口的时候，我发现有点儿不对劲了。”在喝下饮料10秒钟之后，冯先生感觉舌头和胃部有灼烧感。于是他回到餐厅，拿着剩下的饮料到柜台向工作人员反映情况。
McDonald's staff admitted that a colleague mistakenly added disinfectant instead of hot water to Feng's drink while the store was doing its routine disinfection of kitchen utensils.
之后，麦当劳的经理承认是一位员工错把消毒液当成热水配到冯先生的热饮中。当时，餐厅正在为厨房的餐具进行定期消毒。
The father and son then went to Daping Hospital with the McDonald's workers. The doctor diagnosed that both were poisoned by the disinfectant, which injured their alimentary canals.
随后，冯先生父子在麦当劳员工的陪同下迅速赶往当地的大坪医院。医生诊断父子二人均为消毒液中毒，并且还伴有消化系统损伤。
According to the Chongqing Liangjiang Food and Drug Administration, the son has recovered and the father is still in the hospital under medical observation.
据重庆两江食品和药物管理局表示，冯先生的儿子目前基本恢复，但冯先生仍在住院治疗观察。
"The McDonald's staff did mistakenly add 250 grams of disinfectant (deliquated Cyanuric acid sodium chloride) into Feng's hot chocolate (80 ml taken)," according to the statement by the food and drug authority.
据药物食品管理局的一份声明表示：“该麦当劳餐厅员工误将稀释后的250克消毒粉（二氯异氰尿酸钠）当作饮用水兑入1杯巧克力热饮中，供就餐人员饮用（饮用80毫升）。
The investigation on this incident is still underway.
目前，关于该事件的调查仍在进行中。
