China's total number of national high-tech industrial development zones had reached 178 as of the end of November, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In the first three quarters of this year, the economic output of these high-tech zones hit 12.33 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.11 percent.
工业和信息化部数据显示，截至2023年11月，国家高新技术产业开发区总数达178家。前三季度，国家高新区生产总值12.33万亿元，同比增长7.11%。
Shanghai should take scientific and technological innovation as the lead, intensify its research to achieve breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields, boost the transformation and upgrading of its traditional industries, and accelerate the cultivation of world-class high-end industrial clusters and the development of a modern industrial system so as to continuously promote its status as an international economic center and its global influence in economic governance.
要以科技创新为引领，加强关键核心技术攻关，促进传统产业转型升级，加快培育世界级高端产业集群，加快构建现代化产业体系，不断提升国际经济中心地位和全球经济治理影响力。
We will promote the integrated and clustered development of strategic emerging industries and cultivate new growth engines such as next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment, and green industry.
