Small passenger vehicles will enjoy toll-free access on expressways during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, the Ministry of Transport announced on Tuesday. The toll-free period will run from Jan 28 to Feb 4, spanning a total of 8 days.
交通运输部21日消息，2025年春节假期小型客车上高速公路继续免收通行费，免费通行时段起止时间为1月28日（除夕）00：00至2月4日（正月初七）24：00，共计8天。
Vehicles will be eligible for the toll-free policy based on the time they exit the toll lanes. Drivers approaching the end of the free period are advised to exit at the nearest toll station if they are close to the deadline but haven't reached their destination. This allows them to benefit from the toll-free policy for the previous journey and then re-enter the expressway to pay only for the remaining distance.
交通运输部有关负责人提示，高速公路免费通行以车辆驶离出口收费车道的时间为准。假期即将结束时，如果行车时间已经接近免费时段截止时间，但还没有到达目的地，可以选择在就近收费站提前驶出高速公路，这样此前的行程可以享受免费通行政策。此后，再就近驶入高速公路前往目的地，则只需缴纳剩余行程的少部分费用。
Authorities recommend planning trips in advance to avoid speeding or rushing, ensuring both travel safety and maximum utilization of the toll-free policy.
交通运输部负责人建议，司乘人员根据实际位置和时间，尽可能提前规划，避免因赶时间、超速行驶引发安全事故，同时最大限度地享受免费政策。
