其实，同一个英语被动语态，在汉语中有的含有被动意味，而相当一部分纯属主动意义。即使从被动意义而言，在汉语中依照不同的语境，其表达形式也是多种多样的：“被、挨、叫、给、受、遭、由、为......所、加以、予以”等等。

      例如：Their motion was rejected at the meeting of the board of trustees yesterday.
      他们的动议在昨天举行的校董会上被否决了。

      Years later someone asked him if he had ever been hurt on the field.“Hurt?”Thorpe said,“How could anyone get hurt playing football?”
      数年之后，有人问他在球场上受过伤没有。“受伤？”索普回答说，“打橄榄球怎么会受伤呢？”
