为了缓解春运期间“一票难求”的供求紧张状况，铁道部于本月15日专门召开了全国铁路电视电话会议，提出了“提高运能停货保客，停短开长”等新政策，并就集中出票事件诚恳地向广大旅客致歉。

　　Short-distance passenger trains would be suspended for more long-distance trains. Hard sleepers would be changed to seats. The ministry will also transfer passenger trains serving northeast and northwest areas to south and east China and improve schedules of temporary trains.

　　为加开更多的长途列车，(铁道部)将暂时取消部分短途列车，坐席将取代硬卧。铁道部还将调派部分东北和西北方向的列车至华南和华东方向，并加开临客。

　　你回家的时候是选择hard sleeper (硬卧) 还是 hard seat (硬座)，soft seat (软座)，soft sleeper (软卧)呢?很多人会选择加开的 temporary train，但有可能遇到 temporary stop(临时停车)。“硬卧”和“软卧”还可以用hard-berth sleeper/soft-berth sleeper，或者semi-cushioned/ cushioned berths等来表示。如：There are four classes on the train: soft berth, hard sleeper, soft seat, hard seat. The prices are lowered accordingly.(火车分为软卧、硬卧、软座、硬座四个级别，票价依次递减)。

　　Temporary 在这里表示“临时的”，此外它还可以用来表示“暂时的、瞬间的”，如：temporary failure(暂时失效)。春运期间针对客流增大的情况，出台了很多 temporary (or interim) provisions(暂行规定)。
