96.再解一个谜
When Marv finally got the thumbs up, he knew that it was time to get to work.
当马伍终于得到同意时，他知道是大干一场的时候了。
He had a mystery to solve and the sooner he got to the bottom of it, the sooner he could go home.
他要解开一个谜，他越早探明真相，他就能越早回家。
It was all part of his new job: solve one mystery per day and then he could get to sleep!
这是他新工作的一部分：每天解开一个谜，然后他就能睡觉了！
At first he had only got time off from work to do this job part-time,
刚开始的时候他只能从工作中抽出时间做一做兼职，
but he had got the feel of the new job so fast that he had quit to work full-time.
但很快他就尝到了这份新工作的味道，因此便辞了原来的工作做全职。
And he was good at it! He got through at least one, sometimes two mysteries per day!
而且还做得相当不错！他每天至少解开一个谜，有时还能解开两个！
Time to get under way! He took out the paperwork and got the ball rolling!
是开始全力以赴的时候了！他拿出文件，着手开始研究！
Hmmm. This was a hard one! It would take a while... Hours passed by...
嗯……，这个谜太难解了！得花一点时间……几个小时过去了……
Lunch came and went…Marv got up for a bathroom break!
午饭时间到了又过了……马伍起身去上厕所。
Then he tried again to get it together...
接着他又试着集中心思……
It wasn't working and Marv started to get tired of a lack of answers. He looked at it again. Nothing!
还是不管用，马伍开始对找不到答案感到厌烦了。他又看了看，还是没看出任何东西来！
Finally the pressure got to him. He couldn't do it!
最后压力使他沮丧起来。他居然束手无策！
He had somehow got used to solving mysteries.
他已经在不知不觉中习惯把谜解开。
Now that he had failed he felt miserable.
现在他失败了，所以觉得很难受。
Dinner came and passed as well... Marv wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.
晚饭时间到了又过了……马伍今天晚上一定睡不着觉。
The next day he came to work tired and unrested.
第二天，他来上班的时候又累又困。
There it was still; the mystery he couldn't solve!
办公室一片寂静，他还是解不开那个谜！
It had been so fun to get to do this work earlier, now it was just a bore...
以前做这种工作是那么有意思，现在却只会让他生厌……
Marv quit. He didn't even have a normal job to go back to...
马伍辞职了。他甚至都没有一份正常的工作可以让他重操旧业.......
