继上次Langford因为没有了去纽约工作的机会而有些抓狂的谈话之后，两个人不得不开始认真面对两地生活的问题。两个人都尽力联系到对方城市工作的机会，但是都没能成功。Langford的老师为她联系了一家当地的报社，选择这份工作就意味着两个人继续分居两地。放弃自己喜欢的工作，像上次那样追随男友，Langford内心里一定是不开心的。现实很无奈，现实也很残酷。面对这些无奈，两个人也没法心平气和。于是，吵架成了必然。

Langford: I know that you keep saying that we're gonna figure it out...but we haven't. 我知道，你总说我们会想出办法。但是我们至今没有想出。

Garrett: But we will. 但是我们会的。

Langford: But we haven't and we need to make a decision right away. 现在还没有。而我们需要立刻就做出决定。

Garrett:Okay, well, uh...Yeah, I know. Make a decision, then. 好的。是的，我知道。做个决定。

Langford: Why is this all on me? 为什么都变成了我的责任？

Garrett: What are you talking about, "why is on you"? This is your decision. 你怎么能说“都成了你的责任”呢？这是你自己的选择。

Langford: So it's all about whether or not I move to New York? What about you moving to San Francisco? 也就是说，这一切都看我是不是要搬到纽约了？为什么不是你搬到旧金山。

Garrett: You kidding? I've been calling shit bags of music labels there for the last month...every day, diligently. I called a label that turned out to be a kid in highschool who's collecting demos from his friends. He didn't even want to hire me. There's nothing. There are no jobs. Trust me, I called them all. 开什么玩笑？ 上个月我一直在给旧金山的那些该死的唱片公司打电话，每天，尽心尽力地。我甚至给一个从同学那儿收集唱片的高中生打电话，但是连他都不肯雇我。什么都没有。那儿根本没有工作。相信我，我都给他们打电话了。

Langford: I love that you're fine with me moving to New York and waiting tables...but you wouldn't even think about serving coffee in fucking San Francisco. It's all about what's convenient for you. 你对我到纽约当服务生没意见，但是你连考虑都不考虑到旧金山端咖啡。什么都要考虑你的方便。

Garrett: Wait. 不能这么说。

Langford: And you hate your job. Fine, I'll just make the decision for both of us. You can just totally leave it all on me. I got it. 而且你不喜欢你的工作。好吧，我来为我们两个做决定。就一切都丢给我自己好了。我明白了。

在这段对话当中出现了几次all on me的用法。这个用法中的on一般为blame on，pick on短语省略了前面的动词，但是保留愿意。常常翻译为“归咎于”。比如：The teacher laid all the blame on me. 老师把一切错误都归咎于我。Why on me? It’s not my fault. 为什么怪我？这不是我的错。

另外，all on sb. 还有“取决于”的意思，本段对话中就是这个意思。比如：Positive or negative, it all ne me. 正面还是负面的结果，全都取决于我。再比如：Please all on you, my best friend. 一切就拜托你了，就全看你了，我最好的朋友。
