First the boy helped his father and brothers take down the tent and pack it on the backs of some reindeer.

Then he helped his mother put reindeer skins and food into the sleds.

Soon the whole family was ready to start.

In the first sled were Ivan's mother and the baby.

In the second were Ivan and his puppy.

And in the third and fourth were the boy's two sisters.
第三和第四个雪橇上是伊万的两个姐姐。
Ivan's father and older brothers walked with the reindeer.
伊万的父亲和哥哥们赶着驯鹿一起走。
They had some strong dogs which helped them to keep all the animals together.
有几只强壮的大狗帮他们把所有的动物聚在一起。
For a whole week the family traveled.
一家人整整赶了一周的路。
Ivan was very happy driving his reindeer, but each night he was glad when he could stop to rest.
伊万非常愉快地驾着自己的驯鹿，每天晚上停下来休息的时候他也很高兴。
He helped his mother make a fire, over which she roasted some reindeer meat and heated reindeer milk.
他帮助妈妈生火，妈妈在上面烤些驯鹿肉、热驯鹿奶。
Very soon after supper, the little boy wrapped himself in his warm reindeer skin, peeped out at the bright moon, and went to sleep.
晚饭后不久，小男孩就把自己裹在暖和的驯鹿皮里，从里面偷看着皎洁的月亮，然后睡去。
The New Home And Pasture
新的家新的牧场
Ivan was very glad when he heard his father say one night at supper time, "Tomorrow we will find the new pasture and make a new home."
一天晚上吃晚饭的时候，父亲说，明天我们就会找到新牧场，建个新的家了，听到这个消息，伊万非常高兴。
And so they did. What a busy time it was, not only for the grown-up people but for Ivan also.
第二天的确是这样，不过那可真是忙碌的一天，不仅仅大人们忙，伊万也很忙。
