OK, I want to tell you all a story. I wasn't going to talk about this.
好，我想给大家讲个故事。本来不打算说的
Something happened to me on the way to work last week. And I wasn't going to talk about it.
上个星期我去上班的时候发生了点事情。本来没想说的
But I decided that I should talk about it, because I'm sure this happens to a lot of people.
但我觉得还是要说一下，因为肯定有很多人都遇到过这种情况
But it doesn't happen to me that often. Anyway, I'm driving to work.
不过我倒是很少遇到。总之，我开车去上班
I take the same way every single time. And there's a place where I have to turn into two lanes of traffic.
我每次走的路线都是一样的。有一个地方我必须得转到双行道上
And I'm waiting for the lane next to where I turn to be clear enough to move into.
我等着我旁边需要转入的车道有足够的位置再转进去
And there's a bunch of traffic that day, a whole bunch of traffic. But there's a space.
那天很拥堵，车很多。但那时候有一个空间
I pull in, and as I pull into the empty lane,
我开进去了，当我开到这条空车道上的时候
and I'm going fast so that the car coming on that lane isn't going to be inconvenienced, all of a sudden I just hear--

--a horn, like just laying on the horn forever.

And a car next to me with his arm out of the window and waving his arm around and--

--and so anyway, so I-- then he wants to get in front of me with-- fine, get in front of me.

So he gets in front of me. And then he gets to a light that we're both getting to on the way.

And it seems like we're both headed to Warner Brothers.

So he stops and rolls his window down. He's still got his arm out and just-- and so I pull along.

And I could have passed him up, but I decided to stop next to him. And I rolled my window down, and I pulled up next him.
我本来可以直接开走超过他的，但我决定停在他旁边。我打开车窗，停 在他旁边
And I thought, oh my god, what if he works at Warner Brothers? How embarrassing for him.
我在想，天啊，万一他在华纳兄弟上班呢？那他可就尴尬了
Because it kind of looked like somebody that I know, but it wasn't him.
因为看起来有点像我认识的一个人，不过不是他
But anyway, so I roll my window down. And as I'm starting to say, you weren't in the lane, he starts going, you're a dangerous lady!
总之呢，我打开了车窗。我正打算说“你没在那个车道里”，他就说“你这个女人真危险！”
You're a dangerously lady! And he starts screaming, and his veins are popping out of his-- and he's so angry.
你这个女人真危险！他开始大叫，他的血管都膨胀了...他特别生气
And I said, you weren't even in that lane. And he goes, I was in that lane. And I said, no.
我说，你都没在那条车道里。他说我在那条车道上。我说没有
And he goes, you're so dangerous! And I said, you were in the other lane.
他说你太危险了！我说，你在另一条车道上
He goes, no I wasn't. Damn it, Ellen. And I was like--
他说我没有，他妈的艾伦。我就
--what? Because at some point, while he was arguing with me, he realized who he was talking to.
啥？因为那时候他跟我争吵的时候，他知道我是谁
But he didn't apologize. Damn it, Ellen. God-- and I was like-- I said, you're so angry.
但他没有道歉。他妈的艾伦。天啊——我，我说，你好生气啊
And I said, I'm telling you, you were in the other lane. He goes, no, I wasn't, Ellen. No, I wasn't.
我说，我告诉你，你当时在另一条车道上。他说，不是，我没有艾伦。我没有
And so I'm like-- and so every single day since then, I think I'm going to see him.
我就——从那以后每一天，我都想着我们会见面的
And we're going to see each other. And he's going to apologize for being so mean, because I would apologize if it was my fault.
我们肯定会见面的。而且他会为他的恶劣态度跟我道歉，因为如果是我的错的话我会道歉的
But it really was not. I would not pull out and not notice there was a person in that lane.
但那真的不是我的错。我本可以不停车也不会注意到那条道上还有个人
Anyway, so every single day when I come to work at that same place, I think I'm going to see him.
所以每天我去那个地方工作的时候，我都觉得会见到他
And I look for him, and I haven't seen him. So if you're watching-- because I'm sure he's been waiting for me to tell the story--

I think he works at Warner Brothers. And my fear is he works in the payroll department.
我觉得他在华纳兄弟上班。我比较担心的是他在工资管理部门工作
And if he does, I'm hoping we can make up, because I don't want him mad at me and shorting me or anything.
如果真是，我希望我们能和好，因为我不想让他因为生我气就扣我工资
