Did you know that honeybees can recognize human faces?

These little insects are some of the best pollinators in the entire world.

They help tons of different plants, fruits and vegetables grow!

And they can live almost anywhere.

So naturally, we set-off on an adventure to investigate.

Naturally! And we didn't have to go far to find what we're looking for.

There are bees all over us right now.

We're here in Chicago, the Southside of Chicago, at The Plant, with Bike A Bee.
我们现在身处芝加哥，我们在芝加哥南部的一个蜜蜂养殖场里，参与“Bike A Bee”项目。
With Jana Kinsman from Bike a Bee, we biked all around to different bee hives today.
我们今天跟随“Bike a Bee”项目的嘉娜·金斯曼一起骑自行车去了不同的蜂箱。
Here's some hives.

Rubble everywhere.

And yet, there are bees happening.

There are gardens over there.

It seems like a disaster zone but there are plants growing and bees right here...

these are one of the hives that Jana's taking care of.

Coolest part of today?

I think finding the Queen was pretty cool.

It was like a little treasure hunt in the hive

where you picked up all of the frames and had to look through to find the Queen.

She's there! Look at her! She's huge!

She's huge.

She looks completely different than everyone.

Ummm. Picking up a drone.

That was cool.

I was like “that's a drone” to Jana and she's like “pick it up!”

So, you just grab its wings and you just pick it up.
就只是抓住翅膀把雄峰拿了起来。
Because the drones are the male bees and they don't have stingers, it's wild!
因为雄峰是雄性蜜蜂，它们没有刺，所以自然能拿起来！
It is wild.

Going into this day I knew that bees were kinda like gentle
直到今天，我才发现蜜蜂是有点温顺的，
but after being here today and like holding the frames and they're crawling on your arms...

Yeah.

You really get the sense that if you really don't bother them they're not gonna bother you.

Bike a Bee, solid day.

Who knew?

Cotton candy bee hives.

We found the Queen.

And we look great!

Everybody wore very light colors, the crew's looking awesome.

Bob did not really come prepared because he's not in light clothes.

But nobody got stung because these bees aren't gonna sting you.
