Intensive Reading

The boy was very scared. I was also scared. We heard that one animal started to swim to us. The boy asked me to go away. But I didn’t want to go. I took one gun. I shot at the animal. The animal turned. Then the animal swam to the land. The other animals heard the gun. They went away too. We stayed on the boat until the morning.

那个男孩非常害怕。我也很害怕。我们听到一只动物开始向我们游来。那个男孩叫我走开。但是我不想走开。我拿了一把枪。我朝那只动物开枪。那只动物转过身。然后，那只动物游向陆地。其他动物听到了枪声。它们也走开了。我们在船上一直待到第二天早上。

We ate bread in the morning. Then the boy said, “I would like to go to the beach.” I decided to go with him. We had two big bottles for water. We took some fresh water from the river.

我们早上吃了面包。然后那个男孩说：“我想去海滩上。”我决定和他一起去。我们有两个装水的大瓶子。我们从河里取了一些淡水。

The boy wanted to go inside the land. I didn’t want to go very far. I still wanted to see the boat. So I stayed on the beach. The boy went inside the land alone. He returned after some time. He had an animal in his hand. It looked like a chicken. He was very happy. I was happy too. We had good meat and fresh water.

那个男孩想要进入那片陆地。我不想走太远。我还是想看着那艘船。所以我留在了海滩上。那个男孩独自走进了那片陆地。过了一段时间他回来了。他手里拿着一只动物。它看起来像一只鸡。他非常高兴。我也很高兴。我们吃了美味的肉，喝了淡水。

Notes:

1.go away: 走开，“上升；上涨”可以用go up。

2.shoot at: 向……射击，“击落，打下”可以用shoot sth. down。

3.decide to do sth.: 决定做某事，“决定；选定”可以用decide on sth./sb.。
