four wild elephants were meandering around the the village, posing a risk to the public.

Officers tracked the elephants through a forest.

One elephant stopped and started to sniff the grass.

Then it used its trunk to toss a back bag into the air and left.

Officers then opened the bag and found 2.8 kilograms of opium.

Police said an investigation is underway.
