And finally in sports...at the ongoing Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai, world No. 5 Nikolay Davydenko of Russia has secured a berth in the semifinals after beating Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro 6-3,6-2. Tu Yun reports.
Reporter: It was basically an easy win for the Russian. The straight-set victory came after an 87-minitue battle, which was relatively short compared with the previous matches.
27-year-old Davydenko broke 20-year-old Del Potro, one of four newcomers to the tournament, twice in each set to advance.
"I see Del Potro was nervous, like losing first set. In the second, he was already a little bit I think less concentrated and made more mistakes."
Davydenko joined world number 3 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.
The Serbian lost to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 earlier Thursday night. But the Paris Masters champion is already out as he lost the first two round-robin matches.
Davydenko said he prefers to play against Andy Murray in the semifinal match.
"I have agasint Murray much better result because I won this year also match and I lost match. And against Federer I have 12-0. I never win. It's different situation."
Top seed of the tournament Swiss Roger Federer has to beat Murray on Friday to advance and a defeat would hand Gilles Simon of France a place in the last four Simon defeated Federer in his first round-robin match.
Third-seeded Murray has already clinched a place in the semifinals after winning his first two round-robin matches.
