Egypt says not to rule out terrorism or techinical failure

Authorities in Egypt have held an emergency press conference following the disappearance of EgyptAir Flight MS804.

The country's Civil Aviation Minister, Sherif Fathy, said authorities tried and failed to resume contact with the plane after it vanished from the radar. He said the search operation was focused in an area near the Greek island of Karpathos. He confirmed no debris had been found so far. Fathy added he could not even confirm whether the plane had crashed.
埃及民航局局长谢里夫·法蒂称，埃及当局在失联航班从雷达上消失之后试图重新和其获得联系，但是失败了。他还表示搜索行动将重心放在了希腊卡尔帕索斯岛及附近区域。他证实目前为止没有发现任何飞机残骸。法蒂还补充道他甚至都不能确认飞机是否已经坠毁。
The minister said there had been no known security issues with either the aircraft or any of the passengers but that further checks were needed. Fathy stressed it was too early to rule out either terrorism or a technical failure. But he did add it was likely the plane was brought down by a terrorist attack.
局长表示目前没有找到任何关于飞机以及乘客的安全信息，但是仍需进行进一步调查。法蒂强调现在排除恐袭或者技术故障都还太早。但是飞机被恐怖分子袭击坠落的可能性是存在的。
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Prosecutor General has ordered an urgent investigation into the incident.
同时，埃及检察长下令对此事故展开紧急调查。
